Back To Reality
Thursday - Friday February 21 - 22
Well, I guess if you go on a big run of wins it's only natural to hit a slide to bring your numbers back into the world of "normalcy." With no racing on Wednesday, due to the President's Day Holiday Card this past Monday - and let's not forget I was 3-for-6 that day! - there was no racing Wednesday. When the racing started Thursday I ran second in my first investment race with the 1/5 favorite. I had only invested the minimum because I thought he'd be a short-priced favorite and while I liked his chances I thought he'd be over bet. Indeed he was. I did not have another bet until the 6th and there my double investment was rewarded when Rio Bobo was just two clicks off the track record as he ran away with the race, winning by nearly a 16th of a mile.....here we go!
But that was it....and I mean that WAS IT not only for the rest of today, but for the entire card on Thursday where I failed to score in a single race. Fact is I ran third once for the only in-the-money finish of the day. I decided to change my "office location" for handicapping the Saturday card......check out the brief video below to see the view from my "desk" :) Here's hoping that Fountain of Youth Day brings more winners!
